It will be 3 years this month that we’ve had Zoomie in our lives. This summer, we were able to let him go swimming OFF the leash, and for the past couple of months, we’ve been taking short walks with him off the leash, and he has been heeling on the way home without the leash. I can’t begin to tell you how it feels to have this former drop off dog who seemed to be afraid of his own shadow, who would run and hide just from the sound of a pop can opening, to go trotting down the road with his tail happily in the air, and coming when he’s called without cowering. When he was at the shelter, all he did was shake inside the cage. Let me tell you, he is Mr. Personality with all of his “talking” sound effects when he’s content. He’s constantly verbally sighing at night, and always makes a contented sound when he’s being touched. It took almost a year to decide that cats were allowed to live here. Humphrey loves to cuddle with the canines. Asti, the St. Bernard, is his best
friend. He’ll do anything if you will toss the ball for him. He’s a Love Bug!
