My partner and I had gone to CCHS a few times since we moved to Houghton in Aug 2015. While procrastinating from doing some work in mid-Nov, I came across a Facebook post saying there was one 8-week old German Shepherd/Redbone Coonhound pup left after a day of adoptions for the rest of the litter. My partner and I were at CCHS within 10 minutes of seeing the post and fell in love with the pup right away. We brought her home a week later (first photo), changing her name from Becca to Riley. We’ve had her for four weeks now and she has been absolutely fantastic, adjusting quickly to her fur-ever home!
We are so grateful for the employees of CCHS who were so kind to let us play with many dogs before we found Riley. We are especially grateful for their ability to quickly use social media to let their followers know of new dogs and cats before they are able to officially post on their website.
