Sugar Is Too Sweet!

We saw Sugar in the paper and thought she was beautiful. While not my first choice, I saw her first and went to the shelter to see her.

It was truly love at first sight. She was wild at first, but calmed right down. We took her for a walk, (my 8 year old son and I) and knew that we had to take her home with us asap!

We went into the side room where she licked my sons face and they played tug of war. When my little boy found out we had to wait a day to bring her home, he cried so hard it was painful to watch.

We went to the store to pick out a collar, leash and bowl. My son wanted me to keep my money, he wanted to buy her stuff to come home. He laid on every dog bed in the store to make sure he got the comfiest one (he did!) and was so proud carrying his purchases to the register. When we got home he went through the whole house picking up and rearranging things. He made her her own ”house” in his room.

She has been the best addition to a family anyone could ask for. She is playful, loving. protective, listens so well and is fun to have around. She opts to sleep in my son’s bed instead of in hers, but that’s ok. He likes it better that way too.

Sugar is such a perfect fit with us. We’ve only had her home almost 2 weeks and already can’t imagine going without! Thank you CCHS for giving us the oppurtunity to adopt this wonderful loving creature, and for the work you do for other animals, and the families that come to love them.
