Hope came to the shelter with Joy who was adopted immediately, leaving Hope alone. She did not adapt well to shelter life and is now being fostered. Happily, she is doing excellent in a quieter environment with just a few other cats. She is very affectionate and enjoys being around people, sitting on laps or a nearby chair offering quiet companionship. She isn’t comfortable being picked up but who knows? She may learn to love it.
Hope deserves a human who is gentle and patient and who can offer her a safe and secure home. Are you that someone?

Winters in the UP can be long and cold and no one knows that better than Logan. He was cold and hungry when a Good Samaritan in Baraga brought him in. He had to fight an uphill battle to regain his strength and spirit and now he is ready to get back out there in a new home. I usually try to stay away from the commotion in the open room and so I'm usually on one of the shelves on the walls. I think I would do best in a home without young children. Poppy got her name because of where she was found by a private citizen. She was in a pop machine! Luckily someone found her and saved her from it. She is a bit plump but loves to play! She loves the laser pointer. You can also find her sometimes in the sink! She loves to drink and relax in it. She would be a great cat for your family!

If you love those big mitten type paws (polydactyl) on a kitty and extra toes, Little Foot is all that and more. This black and white kitty was found in Hancock without anyone around to care for her. She is a very nice cat, a little shy at first but she is getting used to all the visitors at CCHS and is embracing all the attention she gets for her enormous paws.

Male, DSH - Black and White
Willy is a shy guy who came in as a stray from Lake Linden. He was very afraid at first and kept to himself but after some time and lots of loving at CCHS, he is coming around and enjoys the quiet comfort of being cared for. He is a nice boy who enjoys having his head scratched. If you are looking for a quiet companion, Willy is a good choice.
